Communicating Under Pressure Workshop

UAlbany Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) is pleased to present this topic as part of its Fall Workshop Series.

    Date: December 1, 2026
    Time: 6:00 – 8:00 pm ET
    Location: Online via Zoom

Communicating Under Pressure is an interactive two-hour online workshop exploring what happens to our communication when the stakes are high, emotions are activated, or conversations become difficult. Learners will examine communication through three interconnected lenses: how we manage ourselves through presence and awareness; how we engage others through listening and responsiveness; and how the conditions surrounding a conversation, including power dynamics, shape what is said, heard, and understood. Through discussion, reflection, and practical exercises, participants will build greater awareness of their own communication patterns and develop tools for staying present, thinking clearly, and communicating more effectively under pressure.
    • Registration Fee*: $50
    • UAlbany Alumni/Student/Faculty/Staff: $25

*Note: Registration will be free for any Albany County resident or employee making $25 per hr/$52,000 per year or less. Verification may be required.
