2023 Multicultural High School Scholars Nomination
The University at Albany is pleased to call for nominations for the
2023 Multicultural High School Scholars Award
.
Proudly celebrating its 36th year, this program recognizes and applauds students with distinguished academic records who are actively involved in school and community activities. Eligible scholars are upstate New York high school juniors of African-American, Asian American, Latino(a), and Native American multicultural heritage entering their senior year in the Fall of 2023 with an 88 (B+) or higher GPA.
Students should also have (or plan to complete) no less than 18 core units including 3 years of college preparatory math, 2 years of lab sciences, 2 years of foreign language, 4 years of social studies, and 4 years of English (the other three units from English, social studies, mathematics, sciences, or foreign language.)
A celebration of recipients will be held in September and will include various college planning-related sessions. Recipients will also receive a UAlbany admissions application fee waiver.
